In light of the recent trend of selling homemade foods and other goods online, a Hanoi based start-up Namboo aims to make the promotion and delivery processes much easier for sellers. Namboo is basically a new online platform that aims to promote quality artisan products that are available in Hanoi.
The team behind Namboo recognised that more and more people were selling homemade, bespoke products, but they were often difficult for people to find. Facebook has played a huge role, but with that comes inconvenience meaning customers often search through different Facebook groups and find themselves asking “where can I get…?” and then relying on someone making a recommendation.
Namboo provides a solution for both customers and traders. It is a central online location, so customers can easily find providers of the products they’re looking for, or simply be inspired by the range of goods on offer. At the same time, each trader has their own page with integrated e-commerce, so they can easily take orders online and arrange delivery and payment directly with the customer.
Namboo welcomes artisans from food and drink sectors, as well as clothing and accessories, arts, crafts and homewares. The site is now live and listing its first group of artisans. Namboo will be extending to Da Nang, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City later this year.
