It’s no secret that Vietnam has gone craft beer crazy, and it was only a matter of time before someone opened an off-licence packing enough of the stuff to sink a ship.
Enter The Bottle Shop, the latest addition to Hanoi’s booming Dang Thai Mai Street in Tay Ho District, located in alley 12 at number 25b.
Run by the innovators behind Standing Bar, The Bottle Shop offers off-sales of some of Vietnam’s best craft beers and ciders, including brews from Fuzzy Logic, 7 Bridges, Pasteur Street and Hanoi Cider Co., to name a few.
On top of the bottles and cans on offer, draught beer is also available in takeaway metal jugs, as are bottles of Son Tinh rice spirit, if you want to kick things up a notch (or five).
As if that wasn’t enough, The Bottle Shop is also a sit-in bar with all the booze available to drink in house while you munch on a variety of bar snacks, including cold cuts, cheese and nuts.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the new venture though is the outdoor space that is set to open soon.
Once completed, The Bottle Shop will have a long, grassy garden and the whole venue will be available for hire for private events. Combined with the huge stock of booze, ample space and a barbecue available for use, once ready this garden should be a top spot for BBQs in Tay Ho.
When it’s not hired out, customers can always bring their own food to grill on the barbecue, and with access to the bar’s amenities this certainly takes away a lot of the hassle of a picnic.
Currently, The Bottle Shop opens Tuesday to Friday from 2pm until 10pm and from 11am until 10pm on the weekends.
